Here’s to being different! Afterall, the greatest creative minds weren’t known for following the crowd, were they? No, they created something extraordinary by embracing their ability to think beyond the traditional and create their own path.
Architect John Nash, ecologist Rachel Carson, physicist Galileo Galilei, painter Pablo Picasso, dramatist William Shakespeare, philosopher Socrates… the list of great minds goes on.
What is so great about these names is that they walked in the forefront, but not for the sake of being in the forefront. They might have felt that something was missing and found an idea in the midst of the storm. That idea was something they chose to pursue.
Being creative: You won’t know unless you try
If you think that you aren’t a creative person, think again. We are all creative in doing something. However, it might not be so obvious what that is, and you have to look for it. I am both talking about:
- Being creative, working for an employer
- Being an entrepreneur and company founder
Both options are equally admirable. My motivation to teach you English is, that I want you to pursue your creative idea. I want to work with you to help you get started on that journey. We might not make the greatest minds of all time, but we will never know if we don’t try. So, here’s to being different and making a difference!
English as a creative Tool
Many teachers teach a language as if it is pure knowledge and nothing more. However, the way you speak a language, is your way of expressing who you are. So why not treat English like it is a paint brush?
One thing that I have come to realize is, that my stubbornness has given me patience and perseverance in accomplishing many thing. Achieving your goals and making a positive difference is really what life is about. At least, that is how I look at it.
